Did you know that Music Together® is revamping their traditional songbooks? Starting in FALL 2018, with the Fiddle Collection, all of our family songbooks have a more child-accessible feel with creative, color illustrations, less music notation, but more pictures to help parents and caregivers use the book while listening to the semester's music. As you listen at home, you and your child can work on preliteracy and language skills by singing along and pointing to the pictures, turning the pages and folowing along. Of course, the song notation has oodles of value to an adult if they are a musician and can still be found on the Music Zone in future. As a teacher, I am curious to see how this new songbook will inspire and give new meaning to Music Together at home.
